Letter To The New Info-Product Creator - Concluded
Have you ever tried to push a rope? Well, getting the subject of our series on new info-product creation, “Bob” to act in his own intelligent best-interest has been just like
pushing a rope, or trying to teach the proverbial pig to sing.
In Part 1 I told you about a new info-product guy with one of the most promising product ideas I’ve heard in a long time and how he started self-destructing and squandering his ticket out of the 9-5 grind.
In Part 2 I revealed the first part of my response to his lollygagging, 9-5 mind-trap.
And below in the final segment, I tell him why he is his own worst enemy on this floundering project and what he can do about it.
Pay attention — I could well be talking about you.
So I asked him . . .
Who is your market? How about every new homeowner or one who has learned the hard way, what you know in your head? Maybe the market is too small to bother with?

Yes, and a better way to do what you’re trying to accomplish is to Google something YOU are passionately interested in, find it and prepare to buy it. Why do I want you to do it that way?
Because Lesson #1 is you need to think like the customer and this is how they find things. They search online for what they’re passionately interested in having and . . . avoiding.
Lesson #2 is that every search is a search not for a product, but for a solution. Someone is trying to solve a problem. If you have a product that promises and delivers on that promise, you’ll have a sale.
You’ve never bought anything online, so you really, really need this part of the education.

Just make sure it’s not porn related, because The Redhead is as dangerous as she is beautiful and I’m sorta attached to breathing and eating w/o a straw <grinning>.
Bob, you’re making all this WAY harder on yourself than it needs to be, and I say that with all due respect.
This is not about writing the Great American Novel from scratch.
This is about you taking an aggregate of things you deal with each week, incidents/people/places/things that you have ALREADY have swirling around in your head . . . capturing that and then packaging it and selling it.
That’s not so hard to do, is it?
