Phony Soldiers’ Marketing Strategy Mishaps - Seattle Style!

What is up with the Far Left crowd needing to use phony soldiers to make phony points? Why is that the sonnythe cuckoo“Loony Left”* can’t have an honest debate without resorting to dirty tricks?

Well, from a strategic POV I know why — because they know they can’t win using the facts, so like any good magician they try

    sleight-of-mouth to distract onlookers.

My recent experiences with nutroots bamboozling came from sufferers of the mentally debilitating disease BDS (Bush Derangement Syndrome).

As you may recall, I tangled with 2 BDS bombthrowers here and it continued here.

Cut & Run When It’s Time To Stand And Deliver

In all my years of engaging in intelligent debates with sharp minds, I discovered the “Impeach Bush” wingnuts are even more loosely wrapped upstairs than the People’s Front Of Judea (or was that The Judean People’s Front?).

You may have noticed that they lacked the courage to rebut on a platform they didn’t control, which is why you never saw that debate continue here.

The record will show that I had the courage to go onto their turf and respectfully challenge their claims, while they refused to reciprocate (common courtesy in the blogosphere) or answer direct questions (common courtesy anywhere).

Call me silly, but I think whenever one makes such extraordinary claims, they should be equally willing to back it up with proof.

When they either could or would not, then it was incumbent on me to press the point.

Why? Because perception is dangerous when it is not rooted in reality. Left unchallenged, it can become what is accepted as true if people believe it and treat it as such.

As a member of the media, it was (and is) my responsibility to say to those making such baseless accusations, “put up or shut up.”

This I did. I never got to the ’shut up’ part because they bobbed and weaved throughout their responses.

Smart readers will note that they NEVER answered my very reasonable questions, but like any good anti-missile defense — they threw out plenty of distracting flak, instead.

S’okay. I noticed. So did many of you.

But I digress . . . this wasn’t what I wanted to write about today. That being said, some of you have been bugging me for a follow-up, and this nutty situation with the local phony soldiers reminded me of my first and hopefully last encounter with those fringers.

So there’s your follow-up and now I’m done giving them free publicity.

    Confronting Phony Soldiers

Okay (shaking the dust off my feet) . . . back to today’s topic: how the Seattle Loony Left attempted to use phony soldiers and were busted on the spot by one of the good folks at Sound Politics . . .

“Here is a personal anecdote about phony soldiers which occurred just recently at the Bush protest rally in Bellevue last August. Not once but twice I saw individuals insisting they were veterans but were clearly lying.

One was a black chick that accosted a group of Movered.org/College Republicans who were driving the lefties in attendance ape-spit with their counter protest antics. She claimed to be an Iraq War veteran that had just returned from combat and made some accusatory remarks about the . . .

    Read the rest here.

That’s how we roll in Belltown. Word.

    * = “Loony” does not apply to all those on the political left, nor to all Democrats. In fact, it doesn’t apply to all of anyone. Just the ones that resort to nutty behavior.
